Great opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on projects such as earthworks, excavation, civil etc.
Our client is a well-established and market leading national tier 2 civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join their growing business.
Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a couple of challenging projects.
Types of projects include bulk earthworks, demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from $2.5m to $25m but can go up to $50m+.
Ideal candidate will live locally in the Gladstone region and travel between the 2 projects. There will also be opportunities for this person to do business development in the region.

Responsibilities
* Planning and scheduling of construction activities
* Management of site project teams
* Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
* Preparation of management reports
* Resolving site issues in a timely manner
* Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
* Coordinating internal and external resources
* Recruitment and mentoring of teams
Qualifications and Requirements
* Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
* 5 - 10+ years’ management experience on civil construction projects.
* Project management qualifications will be advantageous
* Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
* Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
* Effective problem-solving abilities
* Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
* High level of organisation and time management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
