About the Opportunity
As part of the Infrastructure Program, the Asset Management Support Coordinator plays a hands‐on role in supporting the effective management of Council assets and services. Working closely with the Infrastructure Planning team, you'll help manage a small asset portfolio while contributing to the coordination of development application feedback and supporting the delivery of capital works projects through to completion.
This is a varied role that blends coordination, technical support and stakeholder engagement. You'll work alongside Asset Managers to review development applications that impact the public realm, assist with practical and final completion stages of projects, and support site inspections and reporting. You'll also play a key role in maintaining accurate asset data, generating work and purchase orders, and helping ensure systems and processes run smoothly.
A strong focus of the role is supporting utilities and asset‐related services. You'll assist with utility data management, on‐charging for events and commercial tenancies, and coordinate connections and disconnections. Working collaboratively with field services, contractors and internal stakeholders, you'll help plan and support maintenance activities while providing advice on simpler assets and contributing to renewal and upgrade projects.
This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys working across both office and site‐based environments, has a keen eye for detail and takes a practical, solutions‐focused approach. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement by supporting the development of processes, procedures and systems, while helping ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
* A qualification in Asset Management or related technical field (civil, design, engineering, proactive maintenance) and/or commensurate demonstrated experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
* Demonstrated experience in the use of corporate asset systems, financial systems and workflow management.
* High level of competence in interpreting technical information and giving direction based on this.
* Knowledge of general asset management requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to understand standard financial reporting and commercial acumen.
