What you'll do * Supports the implementation of quality testing methods to align with the Queensland Health ICT Testing Governance Policy framework which encompasses strategies, policies, processes, templates, tools and standards. * Ensure high quality, accurate and 'fit for purpose' enterprise application software releases through provision of software test services that comply with the organisations testing frameworks, guidelines and standards. * Develop or assist in the preparation, execution and maintenance of quality managed test documentation and records including test plans, test data, test cases and test scripts, defect and issue reports, demonstrating the business condition under test and the expected result. * Communicate and collaborate with a range of stakeholders involved in using/operating, enhancing, administering and developing applications to optimise understanding of requirements, business solutions effectiveness, and the timeliness, cost effectiveness and overall quality of software releases. * Provide authoritative testing advice and support to team members and work colleagues, actively contributing to knowledge sharing, mentoring and skills transfer. About you We are searching for someone who has: * Demonstrated experience in testing complex, large scale application software, ideally with some exposure to health application software * Demonstrated knowledge of structured test methods and processes, manual and automated testing in the context of the software development and service management lifecycles * Experience in the development of project test strategies, test products and test cases within an IM/ICT program/project(s) environment. (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 4) * Sound testing experience including the development of test strategies, test products and test cases in ICT environments encompassing the use of Oracle Developer Suite, SQL and Unix Operating Platforms, and ability to use testing tools, aids and Operating System commands typically accessible in such environments * Demonstrated experience in software and/or technical testing methods and tools with experience in the administration of test management software packages. (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 4) * Experience in specifying and developing test scenarios to ensure user acceptance. Record and analyse test results and report any unexpected or unsatisfactory outcomes. (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 4) * Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills with the ability to translate client business requirements into testable business scenarios and associated test cases including the reporting of any unexpected or unsatisfactory outcomes.
