The East Kimberley
The East Kimberley is a stunning and sparsely populated area in the northeast corner of Western Australia and is known as one of the world's last wilderness frontiers. The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative person to join our Community Development Team in Kununurra to play a critical leadership role in empowering, supporting and connecting sporting and community clubs across the Shire. With the 'Club Development Officer' role dedicated to building the governance, operational, volunteer and strategic capacity of local clubs, while also facilitating networks, enabling new club formation, and enhancing collaboration between clubs, associations, agencies and communities, the role incumbent has a massive potential to make a real difference to the local community.

The
primary objectives
of the positions are outined below, with day-to-day responsibilities expanded upon within the relevant postion description:

* Work strategically with clubs, community groups, service providers and government agencies to facilitate and support the delivery of community, sport and recreation services, programs, events and facilities.
* Develop strategies to improve the capacity, viability, and sustainability of local community, sporting and recreation clubs and associations
* Assist with the strategic development of community and sport outcomes within the Shire and provide input and guidance to the future planning of facilities and services.
* Manage the Shire's Community Funding Program.

A degree level qualification in Community Development, Sport and Recreation, Governance, or a related field; or a diploma in one of these disciplines accompanied by a minimum of three years' relevant experience, current WA Working with Children Check and a current unrestricted WA 'C' Class Driver's Licence are essential for this role.
