Job Description
This role involves contributing to one or more projects using energy systems data analysis and modelling. You will work with open-source tools such as Python, R, Matlab, or Excel to support the transition of consumer energy resources.
Main Responsibilities
* Handle and analyse large real-world datasets from consumer energy resources including rooftop PV, batteries, and electric vehicles.
* Query and manipulate large real-world datasets from different databases and platforms.
* Create new algorithms to analyse compliance of consumer energy resources with relevant Australian standards.
* Develop open-source tools to assist DNSPs and network operators with operations planning and management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A PhD or equivalent research experience in a related discipline.
* Expertise in analysis and modelling using large energy-related datasets.
* Experience in developing open-source modelling tools for broader stakeholder use.
