What you will do as the Assistant Director, Strategic Communications
As an Assistant Director, Strategic Communications you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of a strategic communications or campaign team. You'll work with a talented group of communications professionals who collaborate with business and project areas to deliver outcomes-focused external communication strategies and campaigns using paid, owned, and earned channels. You'll be hands-on and independently lead portfolios of work which may include managing procurement processes, contracts and suppliers providing the ACCC with specialist communications services.
Key Tasks
* Leading a team of up to 5 direct reports, making decisions about priorities and work allocation and providing project direction and advice to team members.
* Developing evidence-based communication strategies and campaigns to create awareness, build trust, and motivate behaviour.
* Collaborating with business and project areas to understand their communication needs and develop and implement effective communication solutions.
* Creating clear and high-quality content for different audiences and channels.
About You
In order to succeed in the role, you will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field or more than 5 years relevant experience.
* Demonstrated experience leading, developing and managing people and teams to deliver effective projects on time, on budget and to a high standard.
* Demonstrated experience developing and implementing public sector communication strategies for different audiences using paid, owned and earned channels.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance, if not already completed.

Salary: $123,702 - $136,900 per annum (plus 15.4% superannuation)
