Global Truck Spares is a leading wholesale heavy duty truck and trailer parts distributor, situated in Wacol, Queensland. We are dedicated to providing quality parts and excellent service to our customers. Our team has over 100 years' experience in providing truck and trailer parts solutions across the transport industry. We are currently looking for an experienced parts interpreter to drive parts sales through our wholesale facility.
Job Description :
As the Senior Parts Interpreter based in Wacol, you will play a critical role in driving and managing our wholesale and retail customers parts orders and ensuring our inventory processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with the needs of our businesses. You will be responsible for liaising with our inventory and warehouse staff to ensure customer's parts are correctly identified, ordered and delivered within appropriate timeframes.
The successful candidate will be required to travel to our client's premises and visit other locations for work purposes from time to time.
Key Responsibilities :
Implement ways to optimize sales across the groups business units,
Oversee the day to day management of the sales and warehouse divisions at our Wacol location
Build customer relationships and drive sales growth
Develop relationships with our key local and overseas suppliers
Identify and introduce new sales and supplier opportunities
Monitor and report on budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics
Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement
Keep abreast of current industry innovations and standards, with the aim of maximising future sales and business opportunities,
Maintain effective communications with the group business units ensuring sales effectiveness,
Maintain current product knowledge on the features and benefits of parts sold throughout the group and the company's related new and used truck dealership, and
Liaise with group business unit managers as required to ensure all work is completed in a timely and effective manner to meet customer demands and expectations.
Requirements :
Proven experience as a parts interpreter, stock controller, purchasing manager or comparable role,
Experience working with qualityheavy vehicle brands, including Western Star and MAN, or one or more of the other brands of trucks in the heavy vehicle market,
Management experience, with ability towork well within a team environment in a heavy vehicle parts environmentpreferred,
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail,
Data analysis skills with the ability to make recommendations to management for enhancing sales processes and opportunities,
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments, suppliers and customers, and
Proficiency in using the computer programs Auto It / Units and the Microsoft Office suite preferred.
