Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Sous Chef to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.
We are currently seeking an experienced Sous Chef with a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and a strong background in 5-star hotel or resort kitchens to support the leadership of our culinary operations.
In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, efficiency, and profitability. You will play a key part in delivering exceptional guest experiences while supporting sustainable and well-structured kitchen practices.
A strong leadership mindset is essential, as you will assist in training, mentoring, and developing kitchen team members, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and standards required to perform at a high level.
Key Duties
* Assist senior chefs with menu planning, stock control, ordering, and rostering
* Support kitchen operations across all sections, including Pastry Kitchen and Bakery as required
* Work closely with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chefs to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant kitchen operations
* Undertake hands‑on kitchen duties including food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and service
* Assist across all kitchen sections as directed by the Head Chef
