Dental Healthcare Professional
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in a remote NT community. This locum-based role offers a unique opportunity to provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people while working collaboratively with local healthcare providers.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a culturally sensitive environment. They will work closely with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
* Fully paid locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks based in remote NT communities, with travel and accommodation covered by us.
* Cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help you transition into remote healthcare.
* Free CPD-accredited eLearning with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
Requirements
* A Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or equivalent) is essential.
* A minimum of 12 months of relevant clinical experience is required.
* Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.
* Evidence of recent CPD in Hand Hygiene, Infection Control and Sterilisation/Introduction to reprocessing reusable Medical Devices within the past 12 months is required.
* A minimum of 6 months of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a dental assistant within the past 2 years is preferred.
