We are currently seeking an AutoCAD & Revit capable Building Designer / Architect to join our Melbourne studio.
Please note, that this role is a full time role; Five days a week in the office.
The Role
Reporting to the Director, this role is primarily responsible for producing concept sketches, town planning documentation & construction documentation whilst taking into account planning overlays and Rescode requirements.
We encourage candidates with the following skills, experience, and character traits to apply:
- Self-motivated & reliable
- Minimum 2-4 years post graduate work experience in Australia
- Experience with client briefs and meetings
- Relevant tertiary building and construction qualifications.
- A building design diploma is required for this position.
- Read and interpret architectural working drawings, engineering, soil reports and specifications
- A good understanding of local planning overlays.
- Sound Experience with high end single dwellings, townhouses, apartments, and commercial projects
- AutoCAD proficiency essential
- 3D modelling and rendering a plus
- Flair in design with trending materials
- Comprehensive knowledge in relevant Australian Standards & NCC
- Solid design & documentation skills, with the ability to coordinate all aspects of a project from Schematic Design to Construction ensuring compliance and standards are maintained
- Strong time management skills with ability to plan, organize and prioritize own workload
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to coordinate sub consultants
