The School of Graduate Research and Research Culture (SGRRC), within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) portfolio, plays a central role in fostering a high‐performing, ethical and responsible research environment at the University of Wollongong. Operating within a complex national regulatory landscape, the School ensures consistent application of research ethics, integrity frameworks and compliance obligations, safeguarding UOW's reputation for academic rigour and enabling research that delivers meaningful impact to society, industry and the environment.
This position is a specialist role responsible for supporting the University's research integrity functions and strengthening a culture of responsible research practice. Working as part of a dedicated team, the position provides expert operational and advisory support across governance frameworks, compliance systems, training programs and risk management processes. The role contributes to the development and implementation of policies, monitoring frameworks and education initiatives, while offering specialist guidance to researchers, committees and internal stakeholders. With responsibilities spanning case management, regulatory reporting, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, the Research Integrity and Compliance Officer plays a key role in ensuring UOW meets its institutional, legislative and national code obligations and maintains excellence in research conduct standards.
