Role Description
As our Senior Estimator, you will be accountable for the entire estimating process, from sales through to production. You'll play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, supporting project feasibility, and ensuring a smooth handover into construction. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of residential projects in a collaborative and qualified environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full estimating process, from initial tender through to project handover.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and trade/supplier comparisons.
- Liaise with designers, consultants, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and clarify scope.
- Provide cost advice to the sales team and ensure all estimates reflect design and construction requirements.
- Work closely with the project team to maintain budget control throughout delivery.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.

- Ability to work independently in a small team environment, often unsupervised.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- A proactive team player who is eager to contribute their skills, knowledge, and ideas.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office (experience with Cubit & Buildertrend or similar platforms is advantageous).

Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and methods
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the role
- Experience in estimating costs for residential construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools, ideally Cubit & Buildertrend
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Relevant degree or certification in construction or a related field
