Senior Associate – Corporate Tax (Sydney) Type: Full-time The Opportunity A leading professional services firm is looking for a Senior Associate to join its Corporate Tax team in Sydney, with a focus on Financial Services clients. You will be part of a well-established, collaborative, and high-performing team delivering both tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients including banking institutions, funds, private equity, and insurance groups. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review corporate and trust tax returns for large financial services clients Support advisory work across areas such as tax consolidation, international tax, hybrid mismatch rules, CFCs, withholding taxes, and thin capitalisation Assist on M&A transactions, including tax structuring and due diligence Conduct research and contribute to technical tax advice and reporting Support clients through tax audits, reviews, and governance matters Liaise with tax authorities where required (e.g. rulings, audits) Contribute to business development initiatives and client proposals Mentor and support junior team members About You Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Commerce, or a related field Relevant experience in corporate tax within a professional services environment Exposure to financial services clients is highly desirable Strong understanding of the Australian tax framework Solid analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to translate technical knowledge into practical solutions Experience coaching or supporting junior staff is a plus Strong client service mindset and communication skills What’s on Offer Clear and structured career development pathway Ongoing technical and professional training (internal & external) Hands-on client exposure from early stages Opportunities for secondments with major clients Support for further qualifications (e.g. CA or postgraduate studies) Additional benefits including wellbeing initiatives and insurance discounts Additional Information Applications are encouraged from candidates of all backgrounds.
