Strategic Development Coordinator
This is a key role within our organization, responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of growth area plans. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, developers, and government agencies to ensure the timely delivery of infrastructure projects.
The role involves:
* Providing project management support to assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans.
* Monitoring development activity, assessing developer contributions, and ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with agreements and Council policies.
* Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have tertiary qualifications or experience in strategic or statutory planning, project management, development management, or related fields.
The ideal candidate will possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and mediate effectively. They will also have knowledge of planning legislation and practices relevant to greenfield and growth area development, as well as proven analytical, research skills, and attention to detail.
Experience in growth area planning, development contributions, or infrastructure design and delivery would be highly desirable, as would proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS platforms such as ArcGIS.
