* PERM ROLE MON – THURS 6AM – 2.30PM / FRI FINISH AT 12.00PM
* PAID OVERTIME WITH WEEKEND WORK ONCE A MONTH
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager your key responsibilities will include:
* Optimisation of processes and equipment, including energy and raw materials consumption
* Timely troubleshooting and correction of plant and product faults
* Delivery of safety refresher training
* Selection, induction and general training of replacement shift personnel
* Reporting on shift performance, including variances from production standards
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives
* Liaise with planning function of supply chain and schedule production as required
* Prepare and deliver daily toolbox topics and rosters to support planning direction
* Achievement of the plants budgeted performance efficiencies as a minimum requirement
* Assisting and working on Continuous Improvement projects
* Work with the Engineering Department to develop and enhance autonomous operator maintenance routines to ensure assets are maintained in optimum condition
THE CANDIDATE:
To secure this role the ideal candidate will have:
* Experience within a similar Production Supervisor position – you may be in a similar role looking for a change or have been covering the role unofficially and looking to take a step up
* Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications preferred
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to improve individual and team performance – You're the type of supervisor who likes to roll your sleeves up and lead by example to get the best out of your team.
* Comprehensive understanding of lean manufacturing principles, preventative maintenance strategies and working in a complex processing environment – this role has a strong focus on strong leadership, coming up with improvement ideas and working closely with the planning team to keep production running efficiently
* Available to work the day shift Monday to Thursday 6.00am – 2.30pm and a 12.00pm finish on Fridays. There is also a half an hour handover before and after the shift which is paid as overtime each day and an 8-hour shift on a Saturday once a month.
