About the role
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is looking for Registered Nurses to join their Oncology Unit in a casual capacity. The hospital has supported the health of people in and around Rockhampton for more than a century and features a 136-bed facility with five operating theatres, a private emergency service and a wide range of specialised clinical services.
As a Registered Nurse, you will have a strong patient-service focus, demonstrate a commitment to continued service improvement, facilitate cohesive and positive professional relationships, and use problem-solving skills to improve patient care outcomes relevant to the ward.
About you
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration (no restrictions)
- Advanced clinical competency and experience within an Oncology area
- High levels of communication (written and verbal) and clinical problem-solving skills
- Ability to function within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Previous experience with administering chemotherapy and CVADs is desirable but not required. If no experience, willingness to acquire the skill
You will have strong communication and time-management skills and the ability to promote the philosophy and values of Mater to all staff.
