Business Review Group (BRG) is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Defence Commercial Managers (Level 2 & Level 3) to support current and upcoming acquisition and sustainment programs within the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) and broader Defence environments.
These opportunities suit commercial professionals with proven Defence experience who are comfortable operating in complex, highly governed environments and engaging across Defence, industry, and internal stakeholders.
Role Overview
Commercial Managers at Level 2 and Level 3 provide commercial, contractual, and financial support across Defence acquisition and sustainment activities. Roles may be embedded within SPOs or supporting broader program teams, delivering commercial advice, contract support, and financial insight across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on level and engagement, responsibilities may include:
* Providing procurement and contract management support within CASG environments
* Supporting contract development, negotiation, administration, and variations using Defence frameworks
* Applying the ASDEFCON suite across acquisition and sustainment activities
* Supporting financial management activities including cost control, cost estimation, pricing, and financial analysis
* Monitoring commercial risk, compliance, and value-for-money outcomes
* Preparing and contributing to commercial, financial, and governance reporting
* Building and maintaining strong working relationships with Defence, industry, and internal stakeholders
Required Experience & Capabilities
* An existing or reinstatable Australian Defence security clearance (NV1 Desired)
* Demonstrated procurement and contract management/support experience
* Demonstrated experience using the ASDEFCON suite within a Defence acquisition or sustainment environment
* Demonstrated experience across finance, cost control, cost estimation, pricing, and financial analysis and reporting
* Highly developed stakeholder engagement and stakeholder management skills
