Debt Collection Officer Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Debt Collection Officer to join our busy contact centre team in Southport. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing debt collection activities in a contact centre environment via phone and written correspondence.
The Role:
* Manage debt collection activities in a contact centre environment via phone and written correspondence
* Balance empathy, resilience, and professionalism to deliver excellent customer experiences while achieving performance targets
* Interpret and apply legislation, follow procedures, and work within policy guidelines
* Negotiate with clients to resolve outstanding debts
* Work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team
About You:
* Proven experience in customer service or a related field
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse client groups
* Ability to interpret and apply legislation, follow procedures, and work within policy guidelines
* Skilled negotiator with excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Self-motivated and driven to achieve personal and team goals
* High level of computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn new systems
* Previous high-volume contact centre experience is highly regarded

* Full-time hours: up to 36 hours per week ( rotating roster between 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday)
