About the Role:
We are seeking a Fire Safety Development Officer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and knowledge in passive fire safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* To assist with inspections of buildings, collecting and organizing relevant information prior to the inspection.
* To prepare inspection documents and worksheets, ensuring all necessary details are recorded accurately.
* To record inspection results and draft reports for review by senior staff members.
* To support the Audit and Projects team with administrative and technical tasks related to fire engineering reports.
* To assist with preparing post-works documentation and certification.
Requirements:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
* A basic understanding of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards is required.
* The ability to read and interpret building plans is necessary.
* A strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
* A willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge in passive fire safety is required.
