We currently have Full time and Casual roles available for Catering Assistants to join the Spotless team located at Pinkenba, Brisbane. Spotless, as a subcontractor to Secure Journeys, will be responsible for preparing and serving culturally diverse, nutritious meals contributing to the overall health and well-being of those in the centres.
The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
- Assemble, prepare, and produce food requirements as directed by the Chef Manager/Head Chef.- Cleaning the food preparation and consumption areas, cooking equipment and utensils.- Ensure compliance with the HACCP Food Safety Plan, monitoring food safety standards and practices, maintaining hygiene in food preparation areas, and completing all Food Safety Documentation accurately and timely.- Ensure all kitchen equipment is operated following safe work procedures, maintained in a clean and secure condition.
**What you’ll bring**- Must have Cert II - Kitchen Operations or higher- Food Safety Certificates- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment- Full understanding of HACCP Food Safety guidelines- Strong written and verbal communication abilities- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
