The Role
The ABC is looking for an experienced Producer to create engaging current affairs stories from concept to broadcast, delivering original, high-quality, and relevant content that connects with our audience.
The Job
* Produce high-quality current affairs stories across local to international topics
* Develop original stories from idea to final delivery.
* Research and produce all aspects of filming and edit delivery, same-day and long-term projects.
* Monitor news and engage with diverse communities for relevant stories.
* Collaborate and share ideas to produce content for Broadcast and digital platforms
Position Description
About You
* Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.
* Strong skills in long-form TV production and storytelling.
* Excellent editorial judgement and communication.
* Resourcefulness and ability to work independently
* Broad knowledge of current political, social, and economic issues.
* Sound knowledge or awareness of 7:30's production style.
* Cross-platform and video shooting experience.
* Passion for diverse, authentic Australian stories.
