Details: Assistant Director, Registrations – ACT Heritage
ACT Heritage is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to fill the role of Assistant Director, Registrations. Reporting to the Director, Registrations and Engagement, this full-time, permanent position plays a key role in supporting the ACT Heritage Council to exercise its statutory functions under the Heritage Act 2004.
The role coordinates heritage nominations and registrations, provides expert advice on heritage listings and significance, and assists in identifying nomination priorities and registration schedules for the ACT Heritage Register.
The position has significant administrative responsibilities under the Heritage Act 2004, including preparing notifiable instruments, external correspondence, online public notices and other statutory documentation.
It also manages registration-related issues, public enquiries and consultation processes, and contributes to strategic planning, data and register management, and records compliance under the Territory Records Act 2002.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
* Experience leading and managing teams responsible for administration of legislation.
* Knowledge and experience in assessing heritage nominations against statutory criteria for heritage significance is highly desirable.
* Skills, experience and qualifications in a heritage related field are highly desirable. Heritage related fields include cultural heritage management, archaeology, architecture, history, landscape architecture, cultural geography and conservation management.
