The CatholicCare Central Queensland and Helem Yumba Domestic & Family Violence Response program provides a range of collaborative and person‐centred support interventions to adults, children, and young people who are experiencing, or who are at risk of experiencing, domestic and family violence. The partnership between CatholicCare and Helem Yumba ensures that all domestic and family violence supports are provided in a culturally safe way.
Adolescent Boys Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, leadership and operational management of the Supporting Adolescent Boys Trial delivered by CatholicCare Central Queensland.
The role provides program‐level oversight of service delivery to adolescent boys aged 12–18 who are using, or at risk of using, family, domestic or sexual violence. Responsibilities include workforce leadership, service quality, funding compliance, data reporting, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, ensuring the program operates safely, ethically and in accordance with CatholicCare policies and procedures.
The role operates with a high level of autonomy and delegated authority. It does not hold a primary clinical caseload, except where required for service continuity, escalation, or risk management purposes. Direct therapeutic service delivery is undertaken primarily by Practitioners and the Senior Practitioner.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the day‐to‐day operations of the Supporting Adolescent Boys Trial.
* Providing line leadership, supervision and performance management of CatholicCare staff and contract partner staff (including Helem Yumba).
* Ensuring compliance with funding, reporting, quality and safety requirements.
* Leading culturally responsive and inclusive service delivery at a program level.
* Building and maintaining effective community and interagency partnerships.
* Overseeing workforce capability, wellbeing and WHS within the program.
* Monitoring service outcomes, data quality and evaluation activities to support evidence‐based practice and program sustainability.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Community Services or a related discipline, with a minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience.
* Prior experience working within the Domestic & Family Violence intervention and prevention, including advocacy, trauma‐informed care and crisis intervention.
* Experience in team leadership, supervision or program coordination.
* Current C class Driver's licence (QLD).
* Registration or eligibility for registration with relevant professional bodies.

* Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
* Expert understanding of trauma‐informed care principles, with the ability to apply them effectively in therapeutic interventions and service delivery.
* Substantial ability to deliver inclusive and culturally responsive services to diverse populations, including First Nations, neurodiverse, and GBTIQA+ individuals.
* Demonstrated ability to recognise the complex ways in which children are harmed through experiencing violence, including the tactics of control and abuse of power, family systems abuse and intergenerational trauma.
* Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality within Child Protection and DFV legislation and the ability to navigate legal privacy limits and information‐sharing protocols.
* Substantial level of skill in managing crises and challenging behaviours, ensuring participant safety and adapting strategies based on client feedback and program evaluation.
* Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support evidence‐based practices and program improvements.
* Knowledge of, or ability to gain understanding of, relevant legislation including the Child Safety Act 2017 and Family Law Act 1975.
* High level of knowledge of issues impacting families and individuals, including child abuse, family separation, trauma, suicidal ideation and self‐harm.

* Willingness to travel and work across CatholicCare offices within the Central Queensland region.
* Entitlement to work in Australia and ability to disclose any pre‐existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by the inherent requirements of the position.
* All offers of employment are subject to the satisfactory completion of relevant screening and background checks, including an Australian Federal Police check, an NDIS disability worker screening check, and attainment of a Blue Card for working with children, prior to commencement.
