Key Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity for an ongoing AHP2 rotational pharmacist position within the CALHN Pharmacy Department. This role will initially be based in the Emergency Department for the first 12 months with an opportunity to complete training for Partnered Pharmacist Medication Prescribing. Extended hours work and/or a 7-day roster may be required.
As a Pharmacist, you will deliver comprehensive and high-quality pharmacy services across inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves providing expert clinical advice, dispensing and counselling services, and contributing to the safe and effective use of medicines for patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Working as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in optimising drug therapy and improving health outcomes in line with SA Health policies and national standards.
You will also have opportunities to support research, participate in quality improvement initiatives, supervise pharmacy interns and students, and contribute to the education of medical, nursing and allied health staff. This is a dynamic position for pharmacists seeking to grow their clinical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to patient-centred care in a state-wide pharmacy service.
Requirements
* Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current registration (or eligibility) with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
* Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice, drug dispensing, medicines information, and counselling.
* Effective communication, organisational and teamwork skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks.
* Mandatory clearances and compliance with SA Health immunisation requirements.
