Manager Finance – Contract
We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead our Finance team operations. You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of Katherine Town Council—providing financial leadership, strategic insight, and robust governance to support our continued growth and impact.
This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for implementing and maintaining skilled human resources systems, processes, advice and guidance throughout Council. It will ensure that human resources functions are delivered in a manner that complies with statutory obligation and Council policies and processes. It is also responsible for managing a small, dedicated finance team responsible for payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, while working closely with our Strategic Finance Advisor.
Responsibilities
- Lead finance team operations and ensure financial integrity and governance.
- Provide financial leadership and strategic insight to support council growth.
- Implement and maintain professional HR systems and processes in compliance with statutory obligations.
- Manage payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for the finance team.
- Collaborate closely with the Strategic Finance Advisor.
