We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join a four-year apprenticeship program based at Karratha Gas Plant and Pluto LNG Plant, commencing in February 2026. This comprehensive training program will provide participants with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed to become qualified tradespeople.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will participate in a program that includes safety training and awareness, as well as technical procedures and concepts.
Upon completion of the program, participants will have earned nationally recognised trade qualifications.
Apprenticeship Opportunities
* Certificate III in Industrial Electrician and Certificate IV in Instrumentation (Electrical Instrumentation Apprenticeship)
* Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Mechanical Fitting Apprenticeship)
* Certificate III in Electronics and Communications (Electronic Communications Apprenticeship)
To be eligible for this position, applicants must:
* Reside in the City of Karratha or demonstrate a strong connection and commitment to the local community
* Have completed secondary education to year 12 (or equivalent) as a minimum
* Demonstrate interest in their chosen trade through work experience and/or hobbies and interests
* Show a strong work ethic with demonstrated reliability
* Be a team player with good communication skills and problem-solving skills
* Be self-motivated, results-driven, curious, willing to learn and take on new challenges
* Have a desire to further their career
* Have good level of computer skills
* Be adaptable to work 12-hour shifts (including nightshifts) under physically demanding conditions
* Prioritise personal health and well-being
