About The Role And Team
We have a new opportunity for an experienced real estate lawyer with 5+ years post-admission experience to join our national Property & Projects practice, to be based in Perth.
Our Property & Projects section has more than 120 team members nationally and works across a diverse practice, including property, projects, construction, environment and planning. With a varied client base across the public and private sectors, our national practice is a leader in real estate work for significant property funds, corporate trustees, institutional clients, the public sector and private sector clients.
You will be involved in a broad range of real estate projects for a diverse client base, primarily in Western Australia, while also supporting teams across Australia, and will be involved in matters alongside industry leading partners and senior lawyers, including:
sales and acquisitions;
due diligence;
land development;
sale of land and business assets;
office, industrial and retail leasing;
land titles and land use, including easements;
adverse possession and compulsory acquisitions;
development agreements for developers and public sector clients; and
general property transactions and advice.
About You
You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
5+ years' post-admission experience in property law;
significant experience across general real estate law matters, particularly property transactions, acquisitions, sales and developments;
excellent technical and drafting skills and attention to detail;
strong analytical and legal research skills;
commercial acumen and a client service focus;
excellent verbal and written communication skills;
collaborative and aligned with our values;
demonstrated experience in mentoring and supervising junior lawyers; and
proficiency with PEXA and duties compliance, and the ability to manage files for a range of real estate transaction and general property matters.
