The Role

We are looking for Mechanical Supervisors to join our Shutdowns and Maintenance team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love leading teams through critical shutdowns, we want to hear from you.

You will lead high-impact shutdowns and maintenance work with precision and safety—delivering on client needs while championing top-tier HSEQ standards and regulatory compliance. Our supervisors are an integral part of our workforce and ensure our teams are mentored, coached, and embraced to maintain a cohesive unit to deliver the standard of work our clients expect.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise inspections, maintenance, and repairs across various mechanical systems and equipment
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and Leading Hands across a range of work scopes
- Plan, schedule, and resource daily activities to meet project and shutdown deadlines
- Manage work packs, work orders, daily pre-starts, and attendance tracking
- Support a collaborative environment by addressing queries and problem-solving
- Ensure compliance with company policies, site procedures, and industry standards
- Clearly communicate safety expectations, work tasks, controls, and permit requirements
- Participate in incident investigations to ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Foster and drive a proactive safety culture by leading with integrity, identifying risks and encouraging safe behaviour
- Build strong relationships with teams and stakeholders, maintain consistent communication and encourage morale
- Champion a positive culture, company values and high-performance
- Mentor team, provide guidance and offer development opportunities

About You

- Full Australian working rights
- Valid Construction White Card
- Australian Driver’s Licence (C Class)
- Australian recognised trade qualification relevant to the role
- Previous experience in QAQC and HSE compliance
- Knowledge and experience in Ore processing facilities and shutdowns (highly desirable)
- Understand non-process infrastructure works (advantageous)
- Working at Heights Certificate (valid)
- Enter and Work in Confined Space Certificate (valid)
- Gas Test Atmosphere Qualification (valid)
- A natural leader with an ability to communicate and problem solve
- Professionalism, reliability, and integrity with a positive attitude
- Ensure effective implementation of Warrikal's safe systems of work
