Overview
Our client is a fully integrated steelworks manufacturer, radically changing how steel is made for the 21st century.
They are the only manufacturer of Rail, and supply engineered steel products to a range of sectors including Construction, Infrastructure, Extractive and Automotive Industries.
Allstaff is seeking a motivated Production Operator to join our client's crew on an initial 3-month contract (with ongoing extensions and the potential to transition to a permanent role).
About the role
This is a hands-on, labour-intensive role working within a critical part of the steelmaking operations.
You'll be part of a supportive team and work on a rotating 5/4 roster (12-hour day/night shifts).

Duties
Performing refractory repairs using jackhammers and ramming tools
Supporting your crew with other labour-intensive tasks
Following safety procedures and working effectively as part of a small, tight-knit team
Successful candidates will have
A strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks
Experience using jackhammers, ramming tools, or similar equipment (advantageous)
Forklift Licence (preferred but not essential)
Commitment to safety and teamwork
