Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registrar to join our team in Broken Hill. This is a temporary full-time position until 1 February 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical assessment and medical management of patients under the Far West LHD Psychiatry Service.

About the Role
* Provide clinical assessment and medical management of patients under the Far West LHD Psychiatry Service.
* Work under the supervision of a Consultant and in consultation with other clinicians.
* Contribute to quality assurance and improvement activities.
* Participate in teaching and ongoing medical education.

Requirements
* Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, with current authority to practice as a Medical Officer with the Medical Board of Australia (MBA).
* Postgraduate experience (>12 months) in Psychiatry medicine, both adult and paediatric, in a public hospital.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, recognizing own clinical limitations.
* Strong time management, problem-solving skills, and team coordination abilities.
* Excellent communication and computer skills relevant to Australian medical practice.
