Key responsibilities will include:
* Leading first-principles reviews of contractor cost estimates
* Validating methodologies, risks, and opportunities against client requirements
* Negotiating cost adjustments and providing recommendations for contractor awards
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in construction management, quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field, with solid experience as an estimator in infrastructure or construction.
They will possess strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and cost drivers, as well as proficiency in estimating software and associated tools.
A key part of this role will be to develop cost estimates across AACEI classifications using both first-principles pricing and benchmarking, while also interpreting specifications and standards to assess cost implications.
Subcontractor and supplier quotations will need to be prepared and assessed as required, with the successful candidate delivering high-quality tender handovers, including development of basis of estimates documentation.
Collaboration is essential in this role, requiring effective communication and collaboration with internal teams, client stakeholders, and delivery partners.
