We are currently seeking an Offshore Telecoms Engineer, reporting to the Hookup and Commissioning Manager on an exciting LNG project. This is a 6 month contract with an even time roster of 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off.

About The Role
As Telecoms Engineer you will be responsible for the safe and effective execution of all hook-up and commissioning activities related to telecommunications systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation, configuration, testing and operation of telecom systems while promoting QHSE awareness and safe working practices.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Lead and oversee the commissioning of telecoms systems, including hardware, software and network components
* Conduct functional and performance testing
* Verify proper installation and configuration of equipment such as routers, switches, antennas, fiber optic systems and other telecom devices
* Integrate telecommunications systems with existing infrastructure
* Provide leadership and direction to offshore teams, ensuring alignment with project schedule and objectives
* Promote and drive QHSE awareness and safe working practices
* Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective execution of work scopes
* Prepare and review documentation, including work packs, spares registers and vendor mobilisation contracts
* Monitor and expedite punch list closure and ensure compliance
* Participate in schedule development, hazard assessment and progress reporting
About you
We love to hear from you and how you match with this position. To be successful in this mission you should consider the following requirements:
* Bachelors degree in engineering or relevant trade certification
* Current TBOSIET, MSIC and CAEB training
* Offshore medical certification
* Experience within planning, preparing and executing offshore commissioning scopes and/or shutdowns
* Strong knowledge of specifications, rules and regulations
* Min 8 years experience in offshore oil & gas projects
* Background in greenfields offshore facilities, construction and commissioning
* Proficiency with PTW (Permit to Work) systems and hazards assessments
