We are seeking a dynamic and detail-focused Production and Treatment Scheduler to plan, schedule, and assign all work for our Production & Treatment plant operations staff. You will play a key role in constructive resource utilisation, operational asset management, and achieving customer-led quality and compliance targets.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and assign all work for Production & Treatment plant operations staff to support efficient and effective resource utilisation.
- Deliver an effective scheduling service for the Production & Treatment team that demonstrates efficient use of resources.
- Provide a responsive work order provisioning service aligned with quality and compliance requirements, valued by all work groups.
- Develop and manage short- and medium-term work plans, ensuring outstanding work and backlog are captured, engaging constructively with Treatment Coordinators and Managers, and delivering within agreed timeframes.
- Deliver a responsive work plan review and improvement service across Production & Treatment work groups to optimise resource utilisation.
- Source job resources as required by work groups, including information, plans, people, stock, and contractors.
- Ensure high-impact operational events requiring additional works management support are efficiently planned and delivered to minimise risk to operations and staff while meeting business requirements of each work group.
- Collaborate with Treatment Coordinators and Treatment Managers in planning, scheduling, and delivering follow-up activities associated with reactive work.
- Apply a range of data and information in planning work schedules for follow-up activities to optimise resource utilisation and provide agility to meet operational requirements.
What we're looking for
- Experience in production/treatment scheduling or operations planning, preferably in industrial or utility environments.
- Strong ability to plan, prioritise, and allocate resources effectively across multiple work groups.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to scheduling and backlog management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with the ability to work with Treatment Coordinators and Managers.
- Familiarity with quality and compliance considerations in a production/treatment setting.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a calm, constructive approach during high-impact events.
- Proficiency with scheduling tools, data analysis, and reporting to support decision-making.
Desirable attributes
- Experience with asset management and maintenance planning.
- Knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental compliance requirements relevant to Production & Treatment operations.
- Demonstrated track record of improving resource utilisation and turnaround times.
