An exciting opportunity awaits within the world's leading water technology company. Grundfos Pumps Australia is seeking a talented Sales Engineer to join our friendly, inclusive team based in Kewdale.
Job Purpose
As a Sales Engineer for Grundfos Pumps Australia's Ground Water and Irrigation market sectors, you will drive sales growth and margin targets while elevating customer satisfaction within assigned accounts. Based in Kewdale, you will execute annual technical plans, collaborate with your team to achieve goals, and deliver world-class service by leveraging deep customer insights and value-driven solutions.
Your main responsibilities
1. Achieve sales and margin targets.
2. Provide world-class customer service, reflecting superior knowledge of customer needs and perception of value.
3. Execute the performance unit tactical plan including sales and marketing activities.
4. Continuously grow and develop expertise within relevant products and applications.
5. Deliver added customer value by understanding end customer needs and developing joint dealer/end user activities.
6. Collaborate with Business Development Managers (BDM) and Key Account Managers (KAM) to drive profitable sales across National Key Accounts.
7. Work with all relevant stakeholders to achieve goals.
8. Retain and grow key customers, developing respected relationships.
9. Identify and execute new opportunities to increase scope of work and growth areas.
10. Conduct customer training online and face-to-face.
11. Perform other duties as required.
Your Background
- Recognized studies or certifications in sales development, negotiation, or B2B selling, plus a foundational technical qualification (electrical, mechanical trade, or engineering) are desirable.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical sales role.
- Experience in at least two of the following sectors: Ground Water, Irrigation, Agriculture Water, Stock Watering.
- Proven track record of achieving targets and developing trusted relationships.
- Experience in executing tactical plans and adapting to change.
- Knowledge of Sales Excellence principles and CRM systems (SAP preferred).
- Passionate about customer service and understanding customer needs.
- Accountable, open, emotionally intelligent, and operationally focused.
- Clear communicator, curious, and motivated to learn.
- Regional exposure to Asia Pacific region is a plus.
