Project Coordinator Job Description

Purpose of the Role:
The position of Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination and execution of traffic and transport-related activities across construction sites to ensure safe and efficient flow of vehicles, materials and personnel.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or a related field preferred
* Relevant certifications in traffic management and safety advantageous
* Knowledge of local and international traffic regulations and standards
* Driver's Licence
* White Card
Required Experience:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in traffic management and transportation coordination preferably in the construction industry
* Proven experience in tunnelling projects or similar large-scale construction projects
* Familiarity with traffic management software and tools
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Plan and coordinate traffic and transportation activities across all construction sites ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
2. Collaborate with project managers, construction crews and transportation providers to coordinate vehicle and material logistics
3. E nsure that traffic and transport activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards
4. Facilitate effective communication between project teams, transportation authorities and stakeholders regarding traffic management plans
5. Address traffic and transport-related challenges promptly to minimize disruptions and enhance efficiency
6. M ake informed decisions to optimize traffic flow and transport logistics within the construction site
7. Effectively use traffic management software and tools to monitor, analyse and improve traffic and transport operations
8. L ead and support the transportation and traffic management teams to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation
9. Maintain accurate records of traffic management plans, incidents, and transportation schedules
