The Role
Reporting to the COO, the Head of Asset Management will lead the management, optimisation, and performance of a renewable energy portfolio, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires strategic leadership to maximize asset value, minimise risk, and support sustainable energy production while driving long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Oversight & Performance Management
Oversee the operational and financial performance of the company's renewable energy assets, including wind, solar, standalone battery and hybrid projects.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize energy production, reduce operational costs, and maximise return on investment.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all assets, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
Strategic Planning & Execution
Lead the development and execution of asset management strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
Identify opportunities for portfolio optimisation or technology upgrades to enhance asset performance.
Provide input to the corporate strategy with insights on asset lifecycle, market trends, and regulatory developments.
Financial & Risk Management
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for asset performance.
Assess risks associated with operational, regulatory, environmental, and financial factors; implement mitigation strategies.
Optimise capital expenditure planning and lifecycle asset management to ensure long-term profitability.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, investors, operators, regulators, contractors, and technology providers.
Ensure transparent communication of performance metrics, risk exposure, and strategic initiatives to the executive team and to the Board.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop the asset management team, fostering a high performance culture.
Promote knowledge-sharing, process improvements, and innovation within the team. Compliance & Sustainability

Role Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Renewable Energy, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in asset management within renewable energy or utilities.
Proven track record of managing large-scale renewable energy portfolios (solar, wind, hydro, or hybrid).
Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and performance analytics.
Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and ESG practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
