Part Time (0.2 FTE) Permanent Position Classification: Individual agreement with an hourly rate of $230 - $280 per hour + Superannuation Salary packaging arrangements providing tax perks available for living and entertainment expenses increasing your take home income where part of your wage is paid tax free each pay, savings thousands in tax each year Location: Burswood, WA About the role

The Consultant Psychiatrist plays a pivotal role in the clinical governance, supervision, and quality oversight of the YFLEX service (Youth Enhanced Services). The psychiatrist provides psychiatric assessment, contributes to collaborative treatment planning, and offers clinical guidance across the multidisciplinary team. This role supports the safe and effective delivery of care in line with the NSQMHCMO Standards, and contributes to evidence-based practice, service evaluation, and development of integrated care pathways for young people across primary, community, and acute systems. Provides psychiatric assessment and review of consumers as requested Maintains expert diagnostic and assessment skills Provides clinical support and advice to the team to ensure high-quality assessments and interventions Supports strength-based approaches in mental health assessments Supports collaborative care planning and clinical reviews with the YES team, including peer and family input Provides formal and informal clinical case reviews Ensures risk and safety assessments are conducted in line with youth-focused and trauma-informed practice Contributes to development and review of clinical protocols, care pathways, and escalation procedures Engages in regular case discussions and multidisciplinary reviews What the role requires

Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (police check) – disclosable outcomes considered Current Working with Children Check – required before commencement Registration with AHPRA with a current annual practising certificate Membership with the Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists Professional Indemnity and Public Liability cover of $20 million Relevant experience, skills and qualifications in Psychiatry Current Australian driver's licence and access to a car Australian working rights How to apply
