Role
Reporting to the Workplace and Services Lead, the Workplace Services Officer is a member of the team responsible for the effective functioning of the department's Workplace Services, including Service Desk, and provisioning and supporting workplace technologies to enable collaborative ways of working within the organisation.
You will work in partnership with IT vendors (e.g. Microsoft, Capgemini) providing workplace platform support services, aligned to the department's strategic priorities, to prevent harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.
Accountabilities
* As a member of the Service Management and Infrastructure Services Unit, role model high standards of performance, accountability, collaboration, ethics, and integrity.
* Effectively maintain the workplace services function and platform, by adhering to the strategy for the management of workplace technologies, ensuring compliance with the department's Enterprise Architecture standards and policies.
* Be a key contact for the managed service provider's IT support teams.
* Deliver high-quality workplace platform services by providing authoritative, high quality, accurate and timely advice in relation to all aspects of workplace technology.
* Follow administrative processes and other tasks as directed for the effective achievement of regulatory outcomes; ensure that all Government and policies and procedures, such and financial management, occupational health and safety, and conduct are complied with.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience in a managed services and vendor support model.
* Experience in workplace technology delivery and continual technology improvements.
* Experience in relevant tools / technologies: Jira, Confluence, Azure, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft O365, ServiceNow, Windows 10/11, Printing, Video conferencing.
* Demonstrated capability to monitor and deliver multiple concurrent projects / programs, including risk identification and management, optimise the allocation and use of resources.
* Collaboration in project delivery, in respect to hand over to support acceptance and operational management of workplace technologies.
