FIFO Quarry Manager (2 Positions) – Pilbara WA
8:6 Roster | FIFO from Perth | Immediate Start
We are seeking two experienced and hands‐on Quarry Managers to join a growing operation in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
These are leadership roles suited to practical mining professionals who enjoy being actively involved in day‐to‐day quarry operations rather than managing from behind a desk. With approximately 15 personnel on site, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a small hard rock quarry while leading and supporting your team.
About the Role: Reporting to Senior Management, you will oversee all quarry activities, ensuring production targets, safety requirements and operational objectives are achieved.
The operation has progressed through the overburden phase and is now mining hard rock material, making previous hard rock quarrying or mining experience essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily quarry operations and production activities
* Lead, mentor and develop a small site‐based team
* Ensure compliance with all statutory, safety and environmental requirements
* Coordinate drill and blast, crushing and screening activities
* Monitor production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
* Manage contractors and site resources effectively
* Conduct inspections, risk assessments and safety meetings
* Maintain strong operational standards across the site
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Previous experience as a Quarry Manager, Mine Manager, Senior Supervisor or similar leadership role
* Demonstrated hard rock quarrying or mining experience
* Strong knowledge of WA mining legislation and safety requirements
* Current Quarry Manager certification or ability to meet statutory requirements
* Proven leadership experience within small operational teams
* Hands‐on approach with a willingness to assist where required
* Strong communication and problem‐solving skills
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
