Lalor Skin & Cancer Clinic is seeking an experienced Senior Receptionist to be the backbone of our busy skin cancer clinic. This is a hands‐on role where you'll run the front desk, keep the billing tight, and make sure patients have a smooth experience from arrival to follow‐up.
About the role
* Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow and phone enquiries
* Handle invoicing, Medicare claims, private billing and aged debt follow‐up
* Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
* Support the clinical team – doctor and practice nurse – with day‐to‐day administration
* Identify and implement improvements to front‐desk processes and efficiency
About you
* 2+ years' experience in medical reception or healthcare administration
* Confident with practice management software (experience with Best Practice, Medical Director or similar preferred)
* Strong understanding of Medicare billing and mixed billing
* Excellent communication and patient‐service skills – you set the tone for the whole visit
* Self‐directed and reliable; you'll often be the only admin team member on site
* Established, well‐regarded local practice with a loyal patient base
