Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time

Tenure: The Construction Training Fund has one fixed term opportunity backfilling parental leave from 21 July 2026 to 2 August 2027 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

About the Organization

The CTF is a small team responsible for administration of a levy on all building and construction works in Western Australia. We use this levy to assist in a skilled workforce by funding training and programs for apprentices, trainees and their employers in the building and construction industry.

Our modern offices are based in Belmont with ample free parking onsite.

Job Description

The Industry Training Advisor works as part of a team providing advice and field support to stakeholders regarding careers in the building and construction industry, apprenticeships and trainee pathways.

The role promotes and manages programs and provides support to education providers with the view to increasing the number of skilled people in the WA building and construction industry.

Regional travel across Western Australia, including overnight stays, is a requirement. The Advisor must work flexibly outside of usual business hours, including regular evenings and occasional weekends.

Selection Criteria

* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the operation of training systems and employment processes, specifically as they apply to apprenticeships and traineeships.
* Knowledge of the WA vocational education and training system.
* Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
* Proven skill in negotiating solutions to difficult interpersonal issues and contractual disputes.
* Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
* Ability to use initiative and to find solutions to problems.
