We walk alongside people seeking connection, guidance, support, and community—and this role sits at the heart of that mission.** The Role**As Ministry Team Leader for The Salvation Army South Burnett, you'll champion mission, drive impact, and strengthen the long‐term vitality of TSA across the region. You'll nurture the spiritual, emotional, social, and physical wellbeing of people in the community while leading a vibrant, mission‐focused Corps.**You will:*** Lead and inspire a community of Salvationists and supporters to advance TSA's mission.* Share the message of salvation and equip others to bring people to faith.* Support individuals through spiritual, emotional, social, and physical transformation.* Build and sustain a thriving, outward‐focused Corps connected deeply to its community.* Partner with the Area Officer to strengthen mission alignment across TSA programs.** How You Will Make an Impact*** Actively share the gospel and deliver Christian teaching that strengthens and encourages the congregation.* Commit to ongoing development through pastoral supervision, coaching, or spiritual direction.* Lead Worship Meetings.* Cultivate a culture of discipleship and leadership development, encouraging volunteering and exploration of soldiership, junior soldiership, and adherence.* Facilitate worship, discipleship groups, fellowship gatherings, and special events.* Lead prayer meetings and preach or teach as needed.* Oversee Corps financial and administrative processes in line with TSA policies.* Manage local fundraising activities, including the Red Shield Appeal.* Ensure personnel administration is accurate and compliant.* Promote regular giving and ensure offerings are recorded through the Generous Living program.* Collaborate with mission expressions and enterprise leaders to create pathways into Christian faith.* Work with Corps leadership to develop and deliver the annual Local Mission Plan.* Lead the planning and execution of Corps programs.** What You Will Bring*** Strong spiritual and organisational leadership, with proven pastoral capability.* A committed Christian faith and deep alignment with TSA mission, doctrines, and lifestyle expectations.* Ability to disciple others and provide pastoral support and prayer.* High initiative, self‐motivation, and strong communication skills.* Tertiary qualifications (Diploma or above) in Mission, Theology, teaching, psychology, social work, youth work, community services, or equivalent experience.* Demonstrated ability to build and lead effective teams.* Willingness and eligibility to become a Soldier and sign the Soldier's Covenant prior to employment.* National police check, WWCC/WVPC, and completion of mandatory TSA training.* Commitment to ongoing training as required.* Current driver's licence.* Flexibility to work weekends and outside standard hours, with days off aligned to NES.* Availability during key periods (Easter, Christmas, Red Shield Appeal) unless leave is pre‐approved by the Divisional Commander.* Responsibility for maintaining the tool‐of‐trade vehicle to a high standard.**What we offer*** Generous Paid Parental leave for primary (12 weeks) & secondary carers, Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks) and 5 days paid leave per year to experience working in other TSA programs or activities.* Flexible working arrangements.* Access to EAP and health & wellness initiatives incl Fitness Passport* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander supports such as: Burra Burra Network (pastoral care network), Cultural Events, Sorry Business and Ceremonial Leave (up to 10 days)* Ongoing training and development opportunities that enhance on the job skills and proficiency.* Rewarding and fulfilling purpose driven careers that have positive and sustainable / social impacts.The Salvation Army (Salvos) is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities.
