This Role
This role is designed to deliver Commerce strategy & planning to our clients and omni-commerce agency team.
The role is responsible for operationalising best practices, developing commerce planning, and delivering client business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Taking ownership of account level strategy for key commerce capabilities such as Amazon, Coles, Cartology, and Criteo.
* SUPPORTING existing planning team in Category planning and archetypes supported by GroupM Commerce leads.
* SUPPORTING existing Agency and Nexus planning to ensure that best-practice commerce strategy and planning is applied to the various brands and products.
* Managing a team of direct reports, starting with 1 direct but multiple indirect reports.
* Contributing to upleveling account management and improving how we serve GroupM Commerce clients across agencies.
* SUPPORTING agency teams (investment, search, social, programmatic, data, and analytics) to deliver comprehensive solutions that accomplish client's business objectives.
* SUPPORTING the integration between commerce and brand media to develop end-to-end media plans for clients.
* Managing relationships to ensure delivery of first-to-market media solutions.
* Working with the Unilever team to support better connect trade to brand investment.
* Staying up to date on the latest trends and best practices in retail media. Developing and cascading POVs on changing industry dynamics.
* Engaging with internal and external leaders across WPP agencies, technology providers, and retailers to develop go-to-market solutions.
* Assisting in developing commerce and retail media content for the organization, including educational trainings, POVs, and frameworks.
* Leading the adoption of GroupM Commerce for new business and existing accounts.
Experience and Skills
* Experience managing a team of direct reports, and a proven ability to drive their careers forwards.
* Proven track record of success in executing commerce campaigns that achieve business objectives.
* Understanding of retail commercial elements such as profit margin, inventory levels, forecasting, and demand planning to inform media decisions.
* Deep understanding of how different media channels work together and how retail media fits within the wider ecosystem.
* Experience with retail bid management platforms, such as Pacvue or Skai.
* Experience in campaign management and optimization across multiple retail platforms (Amazon, Criteo, Google, Meta, etc.).
* Ability to collaborate and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field.
* 7+ years of experience in media strategy, planning, and/or performance across paid media, trade strategy, retail, consulting, and/or analytics.
* Ability to execute effective media plans that achieve business objectives.
* Experience across the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Drive to learn and understand the retail landscape and the latest trends in commerce media.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas.
* Deep understanding of how different media channels work together and how retail media fits within the wider ecosystem.
* Experience with retail bid management platforms, such as Pacvue or Skai.
* Experience in campaign management and optimization in biddable environments.
