Project Manager – (non-IT)About the client: This department is committed to fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment where you can thrive both professionally and personally.About the role: We are seeking project management professionals with a background in project or construction management, skills in project delivery, and an understanding of security measures in building projects.Provide leadership, direction, and motivation to the project team.Ensure the production of deliverables meeting quality standards.Manage schedule and budget to align with project objectives.Coordinate with stakeholders throughout all project phases.Communicate with project customers, stakeholders, and governance bodies, such as a Program Management Office.Responsibilities:Engage with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.Manage scope, risks, and stakeholder expectations, ensuring integration of activities.Oversee design and documentation across all project phases: Initiation, Design and Documentation, Delivery, Handover to Operations (HOTO), and Defects Liability Period (DLP).Handle project variations, changes, and maintain change control processes.Prepare and distribute progress reports and communications.Establish project administration, document control, and record management systems.Maintain and update project documentation, including risk and communication plans.Control project costs through estimation, budgeting, and contingency planning.Ensure compliance with quality standards and assurance processes.Coordinate with suppliers, consultants, and contractors.Maintain the project schedule and report progress regularly.Manage risk processes, develop contingency plans, and escalate unresolved risks.Monitor overall progress and resource utilization, initiating corrective actions as needed.Coordinate project handover and completion activities.Document lessons learned during the project lifecycle.Ensure compliance with legislative obligations such as Workplace Health and Safety Act and Disability Discrimination Act.The successful candidate:Should be capable of liaising with key stakeholders and developing project briefs for security upgrade projects.Manage procurement processes for consultants and contractors.Review design documents for consistency, usability, and security component implementation.Identify potential issues early and re-prioritize tasks accordingly.Participate in site visits as required.Develop statements of work and draft contract work orders for external contractors.Demonstrate ability to monitor and manage budgets effectively.What’s on Offer:Contract Length: 3 months with a possible 12-month extensionLocation: CanberraSecurity Requirement: NV2Hourly Rate: $85 - $105 including superannuationTo Apply: Submit your resume by Wednesday, 30th April 2025.
