Talent Right is proud to partner exclusively with Metroid to recruit a Sales & Marketing Manager to lead, coach, and elevate their sales and marketing function during a critical growth phase.

This is not a role for a "change agent" as Metroid has strong systems, structure, and market traction already in place. What the business needs now is a grounded, people-focused leader who enjoys being in the trenches, coaching, holding standards, driving accountability, and helping good people perform at their best.

This role will take the reins from the Managing Director as there is a strong need for a dedicated leader to own the day-to-day execution of sales and marketing, while the business continues to scale.

About the Role

As Sales & Marketing Manager, you will lead a young, high-energy sales and marketing team based in Bendigo. The structure, systems, and CRM (HubSpot) are already well established; your focus will be execution, coaching, and consistency.

You will manage and develop the sales and marketing team, ensuring people are focused on the right opportunities, supported in their development, and held accountable to clear standards and outcomes.

While the role is primarily leadership-focused, you will remain commercially involved, contributing to key accounts and larger, high-value project opportunities where your experience adds value.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys positive progress, structure, and helping people grow in a high trust, no politics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Marketing Leadership

* Lead, coach, and develop the sales and marketing team on a day-to-day basis
* Set clear expectations, priorities, and accountability across the team
* Act as a stable, experienced leader within a relatively young sales team who are hungry to grow and develop their skills.

Strategy & Execution

* Plan and execute sales and marketing strategies aligned to revenue targets
* Continuously review pipeline activity, ensuring focus on high-value opportunities
* Support the team to progress and close complex, project-based deals

Commercial & Customer Engagement

* Maintain regular involvement with key customers and major projects
* Assist with business development and closing selected high-value opportunities
* Strengthen market understanding across the industrial and construction sectors

Systems & Process

* Drive disciplined use of HubSpot CRM and reporting tools
* Continue to hone and improve sales tools, processes, and systems to maximise return on effort
* Ensure data quality, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline visibility

Leadership Contribution

* Represent Sales & Marketing at the senior leadership level
* Work with the senior leadership team in building and executing long term vision and strategy
* Occupy a pivotal role heading up the 'growth engine' of the business.

The Ideal Candidate

This role will suit an experienced, stable and seasoned people-oriented sales leader who is confident, calm, and structured.

You will likely bring:

* 5+ years' experience leading sales and marketing teams in a B2B, project-based environment
* Background in industrial, construction, or engineered product sales
* Strong coaching ability and genuine enjoyment of people leadership
* Comfort working within established systems and processes
* Experience using HubSpot or similar CRM platforms
* A steady, assertive leadership style, firm but not abrasive
