The Position
We are seeking applicants to join us as Dairy Operators. The role involves operating a variety of filling, packing and automated palletising machines. The facility operates on an 8 hour shift arrangement for both day and afternoon shift so we are seeking applicants who are available for a range of shifts. Availability and willingness to work all days of the week, Day Shift 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM ,Afternoon Shift 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM or Night Shift 10:00 PM- 6:00 AM.
Key Responsibilities for the Dairy Operators:
* Setting up the machine as per the production plan.
* Safe operation of variety of machines and equipment, such as, Case packer, Robotic Palletiser, Milk Filler etc.
* Identify and report hazards, near misses, and incidents.
* Clear jams, fix manufacturing defects, and problem solve machine breakdowns.
* Confirm incoming materials are to specification.
* Confirm the finished product is manufactured within specification.
* Reading and recording batch information.
* General cleaning of the site and equipment.
* Depending on the day, you may also help with debagging, processing, case packer dispatch and other manufacturing duties.
What you will bring:
* Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with Dairy experience highly regarded.
* Understanding of GMP and HACCP principles (advantageous)
* Operation of filling machines and related equipment.
* Great reading and writing skills.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* Problem solving skills.
* Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
