1. Full time; three year fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension

About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the City’s team in a leadership role. The Strategic Planning Coordinator will drive the planning and delivery of strategic planning framework that reflects community aspirations. The role will provide specialist professional advice on strategic planning, land asset and development matters to stakeholders. Providing expert advice and decision making to the strategic management team is also an integral part of the role. In addition, the role will oversee the development of the City’s new Local Planning Scheme.
The person:
The successful applicant will align with our values, be a critical thinker with an ability to motivate and influence others. Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:
5. Degree in Urban & Regional Planning or similar qualification.
6. Substantial experience working in a similar strategic planning role.
7. Demonstrated experience in effectively leading a team.
8. Highly developed interpersonal skills.
9. Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills.
