As a Senior Policy Officer, you will contribute to developing and improving organisation-wide policies and operational guidelines, ensuring they support consistent and effective service delivery.
Key responsibilities
* Conduct thorough research and analysis to build a strong understanding of issues and identify practical solutions
* Develop and refine operational policies and practice guidelines to promote consistency across the organisation
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide practical policy advice and support effective implementation
* Prepare clear, well-structured documents such as policies, guidelines, reports, submissions, and communications materials
* Manage competing priorities effectively, working both independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
* Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and managing risks and issues
* Undertake additional duties as required in line with organisational goals
About the engagement
* Focus on reviewing and converting existing procedural documents into updated operational policies and guidelines aligned with current practices and new service integration
* Does not involve legislative policy development or cabinet submissions
* Full-time hours (36.25 per week), Monday to Friday
* Based on-site in South Brisbane

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
