They now have an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Employment and Litigation Lawyer to join their Legal Team and provide commercially focused legal advice and work. This is a 12 month contract role. About this role Reporting to the Legal Manager of Employment & Litigation, you will play a pivotal role in providing legal advice and legal work for:- Employment, Industrial/Workplace Relations, equal employment opportunity, diversity, and workplace health and safety; Legal advocacy, disputes and litigation (across APAC); and Regulatory matters across the company's regulated APAC businesses. As such, your primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):- Legal advice on employment law and regulation, compliance issues and projects; Legal advice on industrial instruments and collective and individual bargaining; Litigation and disputes; Regulatory advice for the company's regulated APAC businesses; Legal advice on matters that may lead to claims by suppliers, customers or employees; Legal reporting; Legal education and training; and Employment law advice for M&A matters. The ideal candidate To be successful in this role you will have:- 6 years post admission experience in employment law / workplace law / dispute resolution at a law firm or other in-house role; Flexible, versatile and adaptable approach to work; Excellent negotiation / influencing / drafting skills; Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills; Good communication and presentation skills; Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders; Willingness to travel (travel may be required); and Advocacy experience (State and Federal level) is not required, but will be an advantage.
