Investment reporting is a critical function in the fund management industry, requiring detailed and accurate analysis of investment data. As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will play a key role in leading this function, providing superlative services to institutional and high net worth clients.
This role reports directly to the COO and involves managing the investor reporting process from start to finish. You will work closely with various teams, including Operations, Investment, Risk, and Distribution, as well as collaborate with external stakeholders to inform the reporting process.
Your key accountabilities will include:
* Managing accurate investment, performance, and project data aggregation and analysis for investor reporting;
* Overseeing and setting performance standards for the team;
* Driving progress report preparation and presentation for various stakeholders;
* Reviewing external stakeholder reports to inform the investor reporting process;
* Enhancing process efficiencies and effectiveness;
* Managing and mentoring a junior staff member;
* Reviewing specialist reports from external stakeholders and overseeing progress regularly; and
* Assisting with ad-hoc business responsibilities and projects.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Finance/Accounting/Business degree qualification, with post-graduate qualifications highly regarded;
* At least 5 years' experience in a similar role across Investor Reporting from a fund manager or custodian, or construction finance and project reporting experience;
* A thorough understanding of property and/or construction finance;
* Strong Excel skills and very strong attention to detail;
* Proficient written and verbal communication skills;
* Proven stakeholder management, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities;
* An understanding of Australian and global investment markets/instruments, regulations, and governance requirements.
